Student Life
Medical student working on a computer. FLEMINGSBERG IS HOME TO 16,000 STUDENTS, many of whom possess the world-class expertise that will make them the leaders, researchers and decision-makers of tomorrow. More than one-third of the 40,000 people found within the city every day are students at one of the three local universities: Karolinska Institutet, the Royal Institute of Technology and Södertörn University.

Tomorrow’s bio-medical analysts, civil engineers, doctors, dentists, educators, economists and medical technicians begin their careers here. Many of them also live close by in places like the newly built student housing in the city center. The many students contribute to the dynamic and inspirational atmosphere that characterizes the area. But most importantly, they provide the framework for competitive business and industry, where only the most recent knowledge and skills are relevant.
